Here to help you, wherever you are
With 10 years of experience supporting people, I’m here to help you.
My counselling approach is rooted in person-centred ideas and trauma-informed practice.
Training
MSc Counselling & Psychotherapy
I trained in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Salford (PG Diploma & MSc).
While studying, I worked for over a year as a trainee counsellor in the NHS Talking Therapies service in Manchester.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and I have an enhanced DBS certificate.
Before training in counselling, I was convinced I’d be a History teacher and studied History at the University of Sussex. I became more interested in gender identity and sexuality and stayed on to do an MA in Gender Studies.

Experience
10 years providing 1-1 support for people
- Mental Health Support Work: I’ve spent 5+ years working in a mental health charity, supporting people being discharged from Community Mental Health Teams, and more recently when people leave Mental Health Wards in hospitals. Having been part of the management and roll-out of these services, I know first-hand the challenges that can be faced and the support that is required.
- Drug and Alcohol Recovery: my work as a Recovery Coordinator involved supporting people in both 1-1 and group settings in their addiction journeys. I strived to empower people to have agency and choice in their recovery.
- Supported Housing: I worked 1-1 with people experiencing homelessness who faced various challenges, including addiction, trauma, mental health issues, depression and anxiety, to name a few.
- Higher Education: I started out working in universities, supporting young people aged 11-21 with working on barriers around accessing education and participation in university.
